Chocolate candles inspire lots of oooh’s and aaaah’s as well as many questions. If we don’t answer yours here, contact us!
Can I eat the wick?
Please do not eat the wick. The wick is paraffin-coated cotton. After singing, wishing and blowing, there is only a nub of wick left to remove. Wait a moment before plucking it out or eating around it. Paraffin is FDA approved (and often used to coat fruit).
Why are there 3 candles to a box?
Many reasons: For the granting of three wishes, to celebrate/acknowledge Past, Present and Future, and so the gift of Let Them Eat Candles works for every age and occasion.
How long does each candle burn?
The flame lasts about 55 seconds (noted on package) - plenty of time to sing, but not enough time to dance around the house. We recommend lighting when the celebrant is photo ready. If the wick is not blown out, the flame will self-extinguish. The chocolate gets tacky on top but does not melt into a puddle.
When will my order ship?
We ship within 1 week (unless otherwise noted – check top pink band). Due to the increasingly unpredictable climate, if we check your zip code (and ours) and it is crazy blazes, we wait for a Monday or Tuesday to avoid weekend transit. We ship primarily USPS, but sometimes FedEx or UPS. Please follow the tracking number and bring your candles inside ASAP.
Is there a shelf life?
The candles are premium chocolate, marked with an “Enjoy by” date noted in the product description.
Are they vegan? Kosher? Made in a nut-free facility?
We wish we could say yes, but for now Let Them Eat Candles are manufactured in a non-Kosher facility using equipment that also processes Peanuts, Tree Nuts, Milk, Egg, Wheat, Dairy and Soy products. For a product ingredient list, click here.
